Death anniversary program of former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri celebrated in Korba

Korba (Public Forum). Shastri ji was a true Gandhian who spent his entire life with simplicity and in the service of the poor. Mayor Rajkishore Prasad made this statement at the meeting of former Prime Minister of India Late, organized at the District Congress Office T.P. Nagar Korba. Expressed in the death anniversary program of Lal Bahadur Shastri. Shri Prasad said that India’s second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri had to go to jail several times during the Indian independence struggle. Shri Shastri also held the key post of Home Minister in Nehru’s cabinet and also became the Prime Minister of India after Nehru’s death.

District Mahila Congress President Mrs. Kusum Dwivedi told in her address that on the night of 8 August 1942, Gandhiji gave the slogan of ‘Quit India’ to the British and ‘Do or Die’ to the Indians, which Shastri ji, after reaching Allahabad on 9th August 1942, gave the slogan of the Gandhian slogan of this movement. Cleverly changed it to ‘Don’t die, don’t kill’ and unexpectedly the fire of revolution became fierce in the entire country. 11 days later, on 19 August 1942, Shastri ji was arrested.

Former Chairman and Block President Santosh Rathore in his address, Late. Paying tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri, he said that Shastri ji’s political activity was theoretical as well as completely practical and was in accordance with the needs of the people. Shastri ji gave the slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan. This slogan boosted the morale of the farmers and people of India and the whole country became united.
Congress Seva Dal chief Pradeep Purayne late. Throwing light on the biography of Lal Bahadur Shastri, he said that even today the whole of India remembers Shastri ji with reverence for his simplicity, patriotism and honesty. Shastri ji was also honored with Bharat Ratna.

District Congress Secretary Lakshmi Narayan Dewangan said that due to Shastri ji’s simplicity and clean image, he got the responsibility of discharging the post of Prime Minister of the country. Shastri ji used to say that protecting the freedom of our country is not the job of soldiers only but it is the duty of the entire country.Expressing his views, former councilor Mahendra Singh Chauhan said that Shastri ji believed in peaceful development and considered loyalty towards the country as complete loyalty. Shastri ji believed that people can never achieve true democracy or Swaraj through lies and violence.

On this occasion, Councilor Ravi Chandel, former Alderman Ramgopal Yadav, District President of Cooperative Cell Bunty Sharma, Ravi Khunte, Haji Iqbal Dayala, Seema Upadhyay, Geeta Mahant, Ramayan Das, Shyama Bai, Manharan Rathore, Rajesh Sriwas, Amrita Oraon, Suresh Kumar. Aggarwal etc. threw light on the biography of Shastri ji and resolved to continue serving the country by following the path shown by him. At the beginning of the program, all the Congressmen present garlanded the oil painting of Shastri ji and paid homage to him.
