Tiwari, Mrs. Prabha Tanwar, Prashant Mishra, Dr. Shaikh Isyak, Shrikant Budhiya, Gopal Narayan Singh, Seva Dal President Pradeep Purayane, Youth Congress President Rakesh Pankaj, INTUC President Vikas Singh, Block President Santosh Rathore, Dushyant Sharma, Rajendra Tiwari, Sudhir Jain, Sanish Kumar etc. took a meeting of Congressmen in the District Congress Office.

In the meeting, former Cabinet Minister and state coordinator of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Jaisingh Aggarwal told that Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will get a historic welcome in Chhattisgarh. People of Chhattisgarh and Congress workers of Chhattisgarh are excited to welcome Rahul Gandhi’s visit. We all are happy that Rahul Gandhi ji’s Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra will enter Chhattisgarh on 8 February at 10 am. After entering Raigarh, the Yatra will rest for two days in Chhattisgarh on 9 and 10 February. Two days later, on February 11, the Yatra will enter Korba. Passing of the Yatra in our state is a matter of pride for all of us.

In Chhattisgarh, this yatra will pass through 7 districts of the state and Rahul Gandhi will stay in Chhattisgarh for 5 days covering 536 kilometers.
Mayor Rajkishore Prasad said that this Nyay Yatra, which started from Manipur to Mumbai on January 14, 2024, will cover a distance of more than 6700 kilometers, passing through 110 districts in 67 days. In Chhattisgarh, this yatra will pass through 7 districts of the state and Rahul Gandhi will travel 536 kilometers in Chhattisgarh for 5 days. In the times of hunger, inflation, unemployment, plight of farmers and communal hatred, Rahul Gandhi’s Nyaya Padyatra will prove to be a balm to the wounds of the people.

District Congress President Surendra Pratap Jaiswal said that Congress is committed to protecting the unity, integrity, constitution and democracy of the country. Congress Party considers Satyagraha as a strong weapon to fight the fight for public rights even before independence and Bharat Jodo Nyay Padayatra will prove to be the biggest and transformative Satyagraha of the country after independence. Many leaders of the Congress Party, including Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, have solved important issues of the people in the country through Satyagraha. This Satyagraha will uproot the ideology which considers the murderer of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, who took the name of Ram even at the time of his death, as an ideal. Today, the country moving towards destruction and animosity needs a padayatra like Bharat Jodo.

District Congress President Smt. Sapna Chauhan said that BJP is scared since the beginning of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Manipur government first refused to give permission to start the Yatra in Imphal, even when permission was given, conditions were also imposed on it. The BJP government of Assam had adopted low level tactics to obstruct the Yatra. BJP’s Modi government wants to suppress every voice raised against itself. She does not want the people of the country to unite against problems like inflation and unemployment, that is why a conspiracy is being hatched to create obstacles in Rahul Gandhi’s visit. Whatever the Modi government does, the voice of the people of India will neither be suppressed nor stopped.

During the meeting, separate committees were formed and assigned responsibilities for the four assemblies of Korba district, under which MLA Fulsingh Rathia for Rampur assembly, Mayor Rajkishore Prasad for Korba assembly, former MLA Purushottam Kanwar for Katghora assembly constituency and former MLA Purushottam Kanwar for Pali-Tanakhar assembly constituency. MLA candidates Duleshwari Sidar and Prashant Mishra have been given the charge. Besides, Suresh Aggarwal has been made in-charge of the control room and Shyam Sundar Soni has been made in-charge of the publicity department. Apart from this, media, transport, health service, legal, publicity, food, public meeting, entry pass, route and cultural committees have been formed. It has been decided to form different committees assembly wise.
