Raigarh. The Election Commission of India has given instructions to complete the first level checking of all electronic voting machines (EVM, VVPAT) before the Lok Sabha elections from 5 to 14 February 2024.
Engineers from ECIL have come to Raigarh to successfully complete the FLC investigation.
All EVMs, VVPATs from the KIT before FLC are being brought to the EVM warehouse located at Raigarh Tehsil complex, where their first level checking (FLC) will be done from 09 am every day in the presence of recognized political parties. Mobile phones are not allowed in the hall during FLC, only authorized persons holding identity card issued by the Deputy District Election Officer can enter the FLC hall. It is mandatory for the visitors to make entries in the log book register kept at the entrance. No paper etc. is allowed to be taken out of FLC hall, all paper slips etc. will be destroyed by cutting with shredding machine.
The information of which has been given to all the recognized political parties by the Collector and District Election Officer’s office.
Representatives of all recognized political parties have been requested by the District Election Officer to be present during the FLC investigation. No election petition has been filed in the High Court within the stipulated time period in any assembly constituency of Raigarh district.
Therefore, after first level checking (FLC) of EVMs and VVPATs of all the assembly constituencies, they will be used in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The entire campus will be under CCTV camera surveillance. Webcasting of the entire process is also being done, which will be monitored by the Chief Electoral Officer and the Election Commission of India, New Delhi.
